What is actually done
- Article metadata corrected to the tags Scholar reads. This is the most common cause of exclusion by a distance, and it is invisible from any page a person looks at.
- Stable addresses and a DOI, so a citation still resolves after a future redesign.
- Full text made reachable without a login, since a crawler cannot sign in or accept a cookie banner.
- Author profiles consolidated, so one researcher is not counted as three name variants.
What cannot be promised
Scholar has no submission form for journals and gives no guarantees. Inclusion follows from meeting its requirements and being crawled. Anyone offering guaranteed inclusion by a date is describing something they do not control.
How to check whether you need this
Open one article on your journal, view the page source, and search it for citation_title. If it is not there, this is your problem, and it is the cheapest of the possible causes to fix.
