NUZM Solutions
NUZM was running five separate WordPress installations. Each needed its own updates, its own backups and its own security patching, and between them they disagreed about the basic facts of the business: two different phone numbers, two different descriptions of what NUZM does, and one page describing a non-profit research organisation while the homepage of the same site sold commercial development services.
What the work involved
A single Laravel application replacing all five, with the content migrated rather than retyped, and permanent redirects from every old address so no existing link breaks.
- A page builder with fourteen block types, so an editor assembles a page without a developer and without HTML.
- Both English and Roman Urdu throughout, with each language declared as an alternate of the other for search engines rather than as a competing page.
- An audit trail recording who changed what, and version history that can be restored.
- Backups written off-site, because a backup on the same account as the site is a file rather than a backup.
- An automated test suite that fetches real pages in both languages and checks what they contain, which is what makes a change safe to deploy on a Friday.
What was deliberately left behind
Three testimonials on the old sites were all attributed to the same invented name. A badge claimed a 4.9 out of 5 rating from more than six hundred reviews with no review source behind it. A footer showed a placeholder phone number. None of it was migrated, and the decision not to migrate it is recorded in the import itself so nobody restores it later by accident.
What is transferable from it
Consolidation is usually sold on cost and is actually worth more for consistency. Five sites do not merely cost five times as much to maintain; they give five slightly different answers to the same question, and a visitor who reads two of them trusts neither.
